Miles Rufelds

This week we are excited to welcome multi-disciplinary artist Miles Rufelds to The Cottage Creative Residency. Below is a still from a video he is currently working on, and we will get a chance to learn more about this project later in the week. "Miles Rufelds is a multi-disciplinary artist currently based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Ottawa in 2015. Miles’ practice maintains a formal and conceptual emphasis on video, but branches as well into photography, sculpture, media, and audio. Rufelds’ work explores the deeply complex relationships that have always existed between human beings and the things that they consider fictional or unreal, such as novels, films, or objects. He has exhibited his work in such places as Cambridge’s Idea Exchange, Toronto’s Gallery 1313, and Ottawa’s PDA Projects, and screened his videos in Canada and the USA."
