If you would like to apply for a residency with The Cottage, (we highly recommend you do), just follow these simple steps. We'll review your application and provide you with an answer as soon as possible. We encourage all creative types to apply, but please note that we do not have a photography studio, or provide computers, but you are welcome to bring your equipement and/or laptop as we provide you with free wifi.
There is a small tiny charge of $15 per application, payable through paypal. When we receive your application we will send you a link for payment. Applications will only be processed once payment has been received.
*** We also encourage paired artist applications, but please note that fees will be charged on an individual basis.

Choices : 2nd floor studio + room or, ATTIC work space + room.
*** Please note that this calendar is based on weekly residencies, which means there might be openings for weekend or daily residencies or studio rentals. Please email us at info@thecottage-lechalet.com to confirm.

1. Your artistic curriculum vitae
2. Your bio + a short description of the project you wish to work on during your time here (in one document)
3. Media :

Artists : 6 images of your work

Writers : 3 examples of your work in pdf. format

4. Specify how long you'd like to stay with us! Forever will be your first choice, but aim smaller...minimum 1 week, max 1 month. We also offer weekend residencies.
5. Let us know which dates you're interested in, give us three options and we'll try to accommodate the best we can. If none work, we'll chat. *** When choosing your dates please try to have your residencies start on a Sunday.

Cost
That's a good question, no?
Weekly: Residencies are $320 per week, per resident. There is a 10% deduction for two weeks, 15% for three weeks, and 20% for one month.
Weekends : Weekend residencies are $100 and start at 9 am on Saturday, and end on Sunday at 7pm.
Half of that is paid upon confirmation of your stay with us, and then the other half upon your arrival. Payments are done through Paypal. Easy stuff huh?
Other opportunities:
Workshops : Would you like to give a workshop in our large studio? Email us and let's see if we can accommodate.
Students or researchers : priority is given to professionals, but if there is availability, and you need that quiet time to work, email us, we'll chat.
The Cottage rental : again, priority is given to artistic professionals, but if you would like to rent the cottage, for a small group, email us, we can discuss your options, based on availability, and on your project and/or event.
Studio rentals : Maybe you're just looking for a space to work on a daily basis? That's cool, we also offer daily studio rentals : the large studio is $50 per day, and the attic work space is $30 per day. Hours are 9am to 8pm.
